Day 3 of my weightloss journey and I’m down 2.8lbs. Probably all water weight, but I’m counting it as a win!
What I’m doing: Counting calories and low carb. I also upped my daily steps, something that has suffered a lot in the last two years.
We got a new contract at work and I’ve been working 7 days a week, 14+ hours a day and remaining on call 24/7. To say my job has been high stress is an UNDERSTATEMENT. My health has definitely taken a back seat for the last two years, more even than is normal for me. Because, honestly, I’ve never made my health much of a priority. I’ve been blessed with an amazing immune system and overall good health, which I frequently take advantage of by pushing my body to the limit with stress, lack of sleep, and crap food.
That’s no more (I hope).
I’m making a goal to prioritize my health and take back control of my life. I’m walking, taking breaks at work to actually make and eat healthier foods, and trying to cut my hours back to something more reasonable. Not sure how successful I will be at that last one. But I’m working on it!
