A Starting Point

I recently visited my family out of state and my family decided to use Google Photos to share all the photos we took during the trip between us. This photo was taken by my sister of me, as I was taking a photo of my niece.

I was SHOCKED.

I have been heavy most of my adult life, but I very rarely feel like I LOOK heavy. I always feel thin and relatively healthy. I never feel like I'm looking like this. It was eye opening and, when I got home from my trip I jumped on the scale (something I almost never used to this point). On 7/18/20, I weighed in at 210.4 lbs.

I'm done. I'm not doing this any longer.

So I'm back to focusing on my health and working to lose weight. I'm not sure how I'm going to go about it at this point. I know I want to be low carb. I'm not sure if I'll go full Keto or not just yet, but low carb and a calorie deficit is a start. I'm also going to try mixing in some exercise with the change in diet.

What I typically eat:

  • Ramen Noodles (two packs) with a hot dog and cheese mixed in
  • Pasta Roni
  • Kraft Mac and Cheese
  • Fast Food (a lot, always large size)
    • Burgers and fries
    • Chicken nuggets and fries
    • Pasta
    • Pizza (rarely)
  • A lot of soda (several cans a day)
  • Potato chips

It's time to make a plan
